This year, the State Medical-Social Expertise and Rehabilitation Agency under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population delivered the rehabilitation equipment they needed to more than 500 people with disabilities.
A total of 1757 rehabilitation aids were provided to individuals, including:
motorized wheelchairs, indoor and outdoor mobility chairs, wheelchairs with sanitary features, lower limb prostheses, orthopedic and prosthetic footwear, breast prostheses, mobility lifts, canes, elbow and underarm crutches, quad canes, and other assistive devices.
It should be noted that disabled people who do not have the opportunity to come to Baku, to the Agency's Prosthetic-Orthopedic Production and Rehabilitation Center to receive the rehabilitation equipment they need, are provided with these equipment delivered to their homes.
The center will continue to provide mobile services in this area in the coming period.
