In accordance with the Joint Action Plan of the Social Services Agency under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population and the Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice, the Agency's employees held regular meetings in prisons.
During the meetings held with prisoners who were about to complete their sentences in prisons No. 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13 and 17, the participants were informed about the Agency's activities and the social adaptation process.
A presentation was made on the topic of "Protection of Human Rights" and the prisoners' questions were answered.
It was noted that the Agency's specialists visit the families of those released from prison, conduct their assessments and, in accordance with the results, support them in providing them with socio-psychological, as well as other relevant services aimed at social rehabilitation.
During the meetings, information was collected and an assessment was carried out on 78 prisoners who had three months left before the end of their sentence.
These individuals will be involved in the socio-psychological assistance service after their release.
