July 30 is the World Day Against Trafficking in Persons
In accordance with the resolution of the UN General Assembly, July 30 is celebrated every year as the World Day Against Trafficking in Persons.
In addition to the implementation of consistent measures in the field of combating human trafficking in our country, work is also being carried out towards the social protection and rehabilitation of victims of human trafficking.
The Center for Assistance to Victims of Human Trafficking of the Social Services Agency under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population provides victims of human trafficking and potential victims of human trafficking (those at risk of facing the threat of human trafficking) with socio-legal, socio-psychological support and rehabilitation services.
The Center's staff, consisting of a social worker, psychologist and legal advisor, develops and implements an individual social rehabilitation plan for each of these individuals.
Victims of human trafficking and potential victims of human trafficking are involved in active employment programs and their employment is supported. At the same time, educational activities are also carried out in the regions to increase public awareness about human trafficking.
