Under labour legislation, reduced working hours may be established for certain categories of employees, taking into account their age, health, working conditions, the nature of their job functions and other circumstances.
Accordingly, employees under the age of 16 are entitled to reduced working hours of no more than 24 hours per week.
Reduced working hours of no more than 36 hours per week are established for employees belonging to the following categories:
* employees aged 16 to 18;
* employees with a disability established due to a 61–100 percent impairment of body functions (Disability Groups I and II);
* pregnant women and women with children under one and a half years of age;
* parents raising children under the age of three on their own;
* employees working in jobs, professions and positions involving working conditions where physical, chemical, biological or other harmful and hazardous factors affecting human health are present;
* employees working in positions with working conditions involving factors that have an adverse effect on human health, including high sensitivity, anxiety, mental, physical and nervous strain, and other such factors.
