The order will apply to a total of 2469 people
The new order by President Ilham Aliyev titled "On providing one-time financial assistance to individuals who participated in the Second World War of 1941–1945, the widows of fallen or later deceased soldiers, and individuals awarded orders and medals for their dedicated work on the home front" once again confirms the ongoing attention and care provided to citizens in this category.
According to the order, in connection with the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Second World War, participants of the war will receive one-time financial assistance of 2500 manat.
Widows of soldiers who died during or after the war, individuals awarded orders and medals for their dedicated work on the home front during the war, employees of special units who carried out assignments for the army and navy in the rear boundaries or operational zones of the combat front during the war, individuals awarded medals and badges for their participation in the defense of the city of Leningrad, as well as participants of the Leningrad siege, will receive one-time financial assistance of 1250 manat.
It is expected that the order will apply to a total of 2469 individuals, 21 of whom are participants of the Second World War.
For the distribution of one-time financial assistance, 3,2 million manat has been allocated from the reserve fund of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as provided in the 2025 state budget.
The Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population will transfer the one-time financial assistance to the bank accounts of the Second World War participants and other relevant individuals.
