222 vacancies were offered at the job fair
The State Employment Agency under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population held another job fair in Khankendi.
Representatives of the Special Representative Office of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Khankendi city, Aghdara and Khojaly districts, officials of the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population, representatives of other institutions, employers and jobseekers attended the opening of the job fair.
Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Protection of the Population Rashad Mustafayev noted that, under the leadership of President and Victorious Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, along with large-scale reconstruction and development work being carried out in the territories liberated from occupation by the Azerbaijani Army, measures to ensure employment are also continuing successfully. He highlighted that the organisation of job fairs, one of the active employment measures, has become a regular practice and emphasized the importance of these fairs in ensuring employment.
As part of the event, employers who actively support employment were awarded in four categories.
“Azerbaijan International Mining” was awarded in the category of “Most Active Private Social Partner Recruiting the Highest Number of People Based on Referrals”; “AzCotton” LLC in the category of “Most Active Private Social Partner Supporting Women’s Employment”; “Zafar Baglari” LLC in the category of “Private Social Partner Entering the Highest Number of Vacancies into the ‘Labour and Employment’ Subsystem”; and “Karabakh Textile House” LLC in the category of “Employer Providing the Most Active Support for the Organisation of Vocational Training.”
At the job fair, 222 vacancies were offered by 26 enterprises from the public and private sectors in various occupations, including engineer, doctor, nurse, laboratory assistant, accountant-cashier, sales assistant-cashier, head of service, electromechanic, electrician, welder, chef, registrar, tailor, procurement specialist, baker, warehouse worker, sorter, driver, tractor operator and other professional fields. Candidates matching the vacancies were registered, and participants were also provided with information about the active employment programmes implemented by the Agency.
Hasil Abbasov, Chairman of the Board of the State Employment Agency, held a mobile reception as part of the job fair and listened to the appeals of citizens attending the event. Relevant measures were taken to address their employment-related issues.
A roundtable discussion was subsequently held on the topic “Building a Regional Employment Ecosystem: Mechanisms for Cooperation with Employers.”
Representatives of the Special Representative Office of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Khankendi city, Aghdara and Khojaly districts, the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population, the Ministry of Economy, and the State Committee for Affairs of Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons gave presentations on the work carried out to ensure decent living conditions for residents in Karabakh and Eastern Zangazur. The measures taken to ensure the employment of residents resettled in the territories liberated from occupation, as well as the tasks ahead in this area, were also discussed. Questions from employers were answered and their proposals were heard.
