Vocational training

Vocational training means training of job-seekers and unemployed persons in retraining, professional development in order to acquire qualifications (profession) and (or) new specialty (occupations) in educational institutions in accordance with the needs of the labor market.

Vocational training of job-seekers and unemployed persons registered at employment centers is carried out in the following cases:

  • Since employment centers are unable to choose a suitable job for job-seeker and unemployed persons because he or she does not have the necessary profession or qualifications;
  • If job-seeker and the unemployed person lose the ability to work on the previous profession.

The vocational training of unemployed people is organized free of charge by the employment center. Persons with a status of job-seeker are involved in vocational training on a paid basis.

During the vocational training, the persons as referred to in Article 6.4.1 of the Employment Law, i.e. those who have not worked for more than 3 years nor have any profession, have the preferential right for the vocational training.

At the time of receiving the vocational training by the Employment Center, the unemployed is granted a scholarship in the amount of minimum monthly wage.

When an unemployed person who receives unemployment insurance is involved in vocational training, he / she does not receive a scholarship during his / her unemployment insurance benefit.
