One of the recent amendments to labour legislation provides for 14 calendar days of paid leave for men in connection with the birth of their child.
So far, 81 employers have granted nearly 100 employees 14 calendar days of paid paternity leave related to the birth of their child.
This leave covers both the period before and after the birth of the child.
The employer issues the order granting paid paternity leave through the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population’s “Labour and Employment” subsystem (EMAS) in electronic form. For this purpose, a new functionality was introduced in EMAS in January of the current year.
