In the period following the Patriotic War, which concluded with our historic Victory, 3,800 war veterans have been provided with medical and socio-psychological rehabilitation services by the State Medical-Social Expertise and Rehabilitation Agency under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population.
Ongoing, targeted efforts have been carried out at the Agency’s rehabilitation centres to ensure the full realisation of their rehabilitation potential. For this purpose, modern and effective rehabilitation methods have been applied by a professional team of doctors.
As a result of these efforts, more than 270 of the mentioned veterans have been successfully rehabilitated, regained their previous health, and overcome their disabilities. Rehabilitation work with other veterans is continuing.
Efforts have also been undertaken to provide servicemen who lost limbs during the war with high-tech, next-generation prosthetic devices, including advanced prosthetics designed for running. These rehabilitation tools enable persons with war-related disabilities to move freely, actively, and comfortably.
