Media representatives attended a performance presented by the elderly residents, played football with them, and together they lit the Novruz bonfire.
The Social Services Agency under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population, organized a media tour for the Social Services Facility for Elderly People.
The media representatives were introduced to the conditions created at the facility and the services provided to the elderly residents.
It was noted that the Social services facility for elderly people accepts individuals aged 70 and above, who have completely or partially lost the ability to care for themselves, do not have mental or infectious diseases, and do not have relatives or legal representatives capable of providing care.
At this facility, elderly individuals receive stationary social services, and rehabilitation-focused social work is carried out with them.
In recent years, modern conditions have been created, and a five-story, 170-bed additional building has been constructed and put into operation. Currently, 230 elderly individuals live under permanent state care in the facility. Of them, 119 are men, and 111 are women. The oldest resident of the facility is 92 years old.
To ensure the effective organization of the elderly residents' leisure time, various events, excursions to cultural centers and recreation centers, walks, and more are organized.
