The 29th day of the Patriotic War — October 25, 2020 — was marked by the liberation of Qubadli city and surrounding villages from occupation.
On December 23 of the same year, President Ilham Aliyev raised the Azerbaijani flag in Qubadli.
According to the decrees of the Head of State, October 25 is celebrated as “Qubadli City Day,” and the medal “For the Liberation of Qubadli” has been established.
Today, life in Qubadli is being revived. As in other liberated territories, large-scale reconstruction and development work is being carried out in the city.
