According to a new Decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population will proactively assign four additional types of allowances:
Thus, as with other social payments assigned through the proactive mechanism, there will be no need to apply to any institution or submit documents to receive these allowances.
The process of proactively assigning these types of allowances will begin on May 1, 2026.
The new decision also provides more humane approaches regarding the calculation rules and payment periods of a number of allowances based on mandatory state social insurance.
Overall, as a result of the extensive digitalization programme implemented in the social sphere in recent years, more than 90 percent of the Ministry’s services are currently provided electronically.
