In recent years, the DOST model — one of the major achievements of social reforms implemented in our country — has received high international recognition and been awarded several international prizes, including the “Good Practice for Europe” award. Currently, Moldova, Uzbekistan, and Serbia have shown special interest in adopting the DOST experience.
These points were highlighted during the next meeting of the Supervisory Board of the DOST Agency under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population.
The Chairman of the Board, Minister of Labour and Social Protection of Population Anar Aliyev, stated that following the Decree of President Ilham Aliyev dated 9 August 2018, the DOST Agency, as well as seven DOST Centres in Baku, Absheron, and Barda districts, the “Smart DOST” station in Aghali village of Zangilan, the Shusha branch of the Karabakh Regional DOST Centre, and the Kalbajar DOST station, have been inaugurated over the past period.
It was emphasized that the DOST concept, initiated by First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva, has enabled the delivery of social services through a “single window” using modern, flexible, and fully transparent mechanisms. It was noted that 3.9 million citizens have been served in DOST centres so far, with a citizen satisfaction rate of 98.6 percent.
Ongoing efforts to expand DOST services to cover all regions of the country were also brought to attention.
Chairman of the Board of the DOST Agency, Farid Mammadov, presented a report on the Agency’s activities. The meeting discussed the work carried out in various operational areas, as well as the strategic goals and priority issues of the Agency.
