The event “Labour Relations: Requirements of the New Era” dedicated to the closing ceremony of the training program “Labour Relations” under the “DOST to DOST” project, jointly implemented by the State Labour Inspectorate under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population and the DOST Agency under the Ministry, was organized.
At the event, Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Protection of Population Rashad Mustafayev emphasized that the social reforms carried out also cover the field of labour relations. He noted the steps taken in recent years towards improving labour legislation based on progressive international experience and digitalizing services in the fields of labour and employment.
The Deputy Minister emphasized the importance of the training program organized under the “DOST to DOST” project in educating young people about labour relations, and wished success to the project participants.
The Head of the State Labour Inspectorate Service under the Ministry, Veli Guliyev, drew attention to the importance of educational activities aimed at protecting labour rights, ensuring safe and healthy working conditions, and implementing digital reforms. He noted the advantages of the “Labour and Employment” subsystem, which was created as one of the innovative initiatives in the field of labour relations. The Head of the Service emphasized that the “DOST to DOST” project is a successful platform aimed at educating young people in the field of labour relations.
Farid Mammadov, Chairman of the Board of the DOST Agency, noted that over 150 thousand applications were registered to become DOST volunteers in the past period, and 6500 people were involved in activities as volunteers in various DOST centers. He noted that the “DOST to DOST” project also contributed to raising the awareness of young volunteers in such an important area as labour rights.
Azer Bayramov, Director General of the Secretariat of the Labour Center of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, said that the “DOST to DOST” project is an important initiative that serves to increase the knowledge and skills of young people in the field of labour relations. At the same time, this project plays the role of an important platform for the active participation of young people in social life and their self-expression.
At the event, 5 volunteer teams of the IDEATHON competition made presentations and the winning team was selected. It should be noted that this competition, which is a demonstration of creative solutions around the topic in a presentation format, was of particular importance in terms of revealing innovative thoughts of young people on labour relations.
After the musical numbers presented by the beneficiaries of the DOST Center for Inclusive Development and Creativity, one of the volunteer youth shared his impressions of participating in the training program.
At the end, certificates were presented to the project participants.
It should be noted that within the framework of the program, interactive trainings were held for DOST volunteers on the topics of "The right to leave and its provision", "Risk management in the field of labour relations", "Children's labour rights", "What is labour protection and why is it necessary?" An information tour of the model enterprise was also organized for volunteers to familiarize themselves with the organization of labour protection work in the production process.
