The next World Governments Summit is taking place in the city of Dubai of the United Arab Emirates. Heads of state and government of countries around the world, high-level officials, and representatives of international organisations are participating in the event.
The Summit discusses strengthening sustainable development in the context of rapid transformations in vital sectors and deepening global changes, building future-ready societies, as well as policies related to the labour market.
Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Protection of the Population Vusal Nasirli participated in the plenary session of the Summit, as well as in the Future of Work Forum held within the framework of this global event.
At the Forum, issues related to preparing the workforce for the future by enhancing skills in line with rapid changes occurring in the labour market due to technological development, and aligning labour market strategies with the requirements of the digital economy, were discussed in detail.
Within the framework of the Summit, Vusal Nasirli met with Dr. Abdulrahman Al Awar, Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation of the United Arab Emirates and Acting Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
The dynamic and comprehensive development of intergovernmental relations between Azerbaijan and the United Arab Emirates, based on brotherhood, mutual respect, trust, and support, was highlighted.
It was emphasised that there is great potential for expanding cooperation between the two countries in the fields of labour, employment, and social protection of the population.
The importance of the cooperation document signed between the two ministries last year in deepening relations was noted.
Issues of future cooperation were discussed during the meeting.
