By the Order of Ilham Aliyev, Zaur Rafik Aliyev has been appointed Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Protection of the Population.
Zaur Aliyev was born in 1981.
Between 1997 and 2000, he received his secondary education at Cambridge Regional College (United Kingdom), and between 2000 and 2003, he obtained higher education in Accounting and Finance at University of East Anglia (United Kingdom).
From 2003 to 2009, he worked in various positions at the Almaty, Baku, and London offices of Ernst & Young. Between 2010 and 2015, he held different roles at PASHA Holding LLC and PASHA Insurance OJSC. Since 2015, he has served as the Director of the State Agency for Mandatory Health Insurance.
Prior to his current position, he served as the Chairman of the Management Board of the State Agency for Mandatory Health Insurance.
On 18 January 2025, he was elected President of the Azerbaijan Swimming Federation for another four-year term.
