The State Medical-Social Expertise and Rehabilitation Agency under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population has launched the “RehaBus” service for children with disabilities in Ganja.
Children with disabilities living in Ganja and participating in outpatient rehabilitation services are transported free of charge twice a week by the rehabilitation bus to the Agency’s Child Rehabilitation Center in Shamkir. After the rehabilitation procedure, they are returned back.
The “RehaBus” project aims to increase the accessibility of rehabilitation services for children with disabilities and support their social integration.
The project was first launched in 2022 in Baku, Sumgayit, and Absheron. In these cities and district, children with disabilities (together with their accompanying relatives) are transported by rehabilitation bus to the No. 2 Child Rehabilitation Center in Baku.
