The Heydar Aliyev Foundation has supported the development of the creative potential of another young person with a disability.
Within the Foundation’s project, Samed Novruzov, a talented singer with 61–80% visual impairment (Grade II), enhanced his vocal skills at the European Academy in Florence, Italy, from late August to early November.
Samed Novruzov, a trainer at the DOST Inclusive Development and Creativity Center under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population, impressed the Academy’s pedagogical staff with his vocal abilities and technique.
For the first time in the history of this educational institution, he performed two concert programs at Italy’s historic architectural building – the Santo Stefano al Ponte Museum.
He shared the stage with the renowned Italian opera singer Kiarra Panacci, performing solo and duet classical arias by Italian composers. He also demonstrated high professionalism and talent at the report concert alongside other students of the Academy.
Samed Novruzov, who has been passionate about music since childhood, is currently a fourth-year student at the Baku Music Academy named after Uzeyir Hajibeyov. In 2023, he won the IV Republic competition for young performers dedicated to the 100th anniversary of National Leader Heydar Aliyev.
He has also successfully performed in various national and international competitions, earning laureate titles. Within COP29, he distinguished himself in the artistic segment of the “Inclusive Day” organized by the DOST Inclusive Development and Creativity Center at the Green Zone’s “Art Pavilion.”
From 2024, Samed Novruzov works as a trainer at the Center and actively participates in the Center’s concert programs, various events, and projects.
