At present, the State Medical-Social Expertise and Rehabilitation Agency under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population is providing home-based (mobile) rehabilitation services to 6,100 persons with disabilities.
These individuals are persons with disabilities who experience difficulties in leaving their place of residence. They are provided at home with services such as medical and psychological examinations, speech therapy sessions, therapeutic massage, remedial physical training, occupational therapy, and other rehabilitation services.
Persons with disabilities belonging to this category who wish to benefit from mobile rehabilitation services (or their legal representatives) may apply to the Ministry’s “142” Call Centre, DOST centres, or the relevant Medical-Social Expert Commission in their area.
Following an application, a mobile team consisting of the Agency’s doctors and psychologists visits the applicant’s home to conduct an initial examination and assessment. If the individual’s actual condition corresponds to the diagnoses determined for the provision of mobile services, home-based (mobile) rehabilitation services are delivered in accordance with an individualised plan.
