Joint statement by the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population, and TABIB.
The sick leave certificate will be issued as an e-document and will serve as the basis for granting benefits to employees.
As an innovative change based on the relevant decision of the Cabinet of Ministers, starting from May 1 of this year, "Sick Leave Certificates for Insured Persons" will be prepared in electronic form at healthcare institutions under the Ministry of Health's "Unified Healthcare Information System" and the Management Union of Medical Territorial Units (TABIB).
Afterward, the healthcare institutions will approve the certificates with an e-signature and send them electronically to the employer and the State Social Protection Fund under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population.
This e-document will serve as the basis for assigning benefits to employees for temporary incapacity for work, pregnancy, and childbirth, as determined by the State Social Protection Fund.
For this purpose, the Ministry of Health in collaboration with the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population has consolidated information about electronic sick leave certificates in a unified e-register.
As a result, employers will be able to easily and conveniently access these e-sick leave from the relevant information system of the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population, while medical workers can obtain them from the "e-Health" portal and mobile application.
The transition to the " e-sick leave" system will eliminate the workload associated with the storage and processing of paper documents, minimize time loss, and create conditions for increased service efficiency, quality, and transparency.
