A meeting was held at the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population with a delegation from the Asian Development Bank (ADB), led by Sofia Shakil, Director of the Human and Social Development Sector Office.
Anar Karimov, Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Protection of Population highlighted the importance of strengthening ADB’s support in the field of social protection through the "Strengthening Support for Achieving Sustainable Development Goals" project. He emphasized the significance of expanding collaboration with ADB in this area.
The delegation was provided with information on the social reforms carried out in the country in recent years, including the implementation of the DOST Concept and the widespread application of digital solutions in social services. Ongoing active employment programs, efforts to enhance the skills of the workforce in accordance with labour market demands, and the goals for this sector were also discussed.
Sofia Shakil expressed satisfaction with the successful cooperation that has developed in the past. The meeting also included discussions on future areas of cooperation with ADB in the fields of employment, social protection, and labour.
