A meeting was held at the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population with Ahmed Metani, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Azerbaijan.
Emphasizing the historical, religious, cultural, and friendly ties between the peoples of Azerbaijan and Palestine, Minister of Labour and Social Protection of Population Anar Aliyev noted the mutual support and solidarity existing between the two countries.
During the meeting, the importance of the ILO Centre in Baku, established under the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, in expanding relations among member states and facilitating experience-sharing in labour, employment, and social protection fields was highlighted.
Information was provided on recent labour reforms and achievements in Azerbaijan. It was emphasized that there is significant potential for developing cooperation between the two countries in this field and for active experience and knowledge exchange.
Ahmed Metani stated that friendly and solidarity relations exist between his country and Azerbaijan and continue to develop, expressing interest in expanding cooperation in the labour sphere. Ideas regarding future collaboration in this area were exchanged.
