A meeting was held at the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population with Berlian Helmi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Indonesia to Azerbaijan.
Minister Anar Aliyev noted that relations between Azerbaijan and Indonesia are developing on the basis of friendship and mutual respect, and that there are good opportunities to expand cooperation in the fields of labour, employment, and social protection.
It was emphasised that the work carried out in line with the cooperation document signed in December 2022 between the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population and Indonesia’s Ministry of Manpower has made a significant contribution to strengthening ties between the two ministries.
The important role of the Labour Centre of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, headquartered in Baku, in developing cooperation among member states in the fields of labour and social protection was highlighted. The Ambassador was also informed about recent social reforms in Azerbaijan, the DOST concept, and achievements in digitalisation in the social sphere.
Berlian Helmi stated that efforts would be made by the Embassy to further develop bilateral cooperation in the fields of labour, employment, and social protection. Future cooperation prospects in these areas were discussed during the meeting.
