The increases in social benefits and pensions from July 1 are another manifestation of President Ilham Aliyev's care for vulnerable population groups.
This was stated by Anar Aliyev, Minister of Labour and Social Protection of Population, at a collegium meeting held at the Ministry.
At the meeting, it was noted that the total amount of payments to the population by the State Social Protection Fund in the first half of 2025 increased by 9,5% compared to the corresponding period of last year and amounted to 3 billion 628 million manats.
It was noted that as a result of the work on the electronicization of labour relations, electronic labour contracts already account for 93% of existing labour contracts. Within the framework of the electronicization work, prospects for increasing the functionality of the "Labour and Employment" subsystem were discussed.
It was noted that 436 thousand people were served in DOST centers in the first 6 months of 2025, and citizen satisfaction with these services was 98,1%.
It was reported that in the first half of the current year, 2,6 thousand people were provided with inpatient and semi-inpatient social services, 3,6 thousand people were provided with home (mobile) social services, 69 children were placed for adoption, 14 children were placed in foster families, and 118 children were prevented from being placed in institutions by their families.
It was emphasized that during the reporting period, 26,6 thousand people were assigned disability, 63 thousand people were provided with rehabilitation services, and 69 thousand people with disabilities were provided with rehabilitation means.
In total, 235 thousand people were covered by employment measures, and 9,8 thousand people were involved in the self-employment program.
At the collegium meeting, 46 more professional and qualification standards were approved. Thus, the total number of approved professional and qualification standards exceeded 1380.
The meeting also discussed the work done in the Ministry in the areas of finance, economy, internal control, documents and work with citizen appeals.
