A meeting was held at the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population with the delegation led by the Executive Secretary of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP) Armida Salsiah Alisjahbana.
Minister of Labour and Social Protection of Population Anar Aliyev provided information on the social reforms implemented in our country in recent years, the work done to strengthen social protection measures and ensure the well-being of citizens.
The Minister emphasized the importance of the 82nd session of UNESCAP, which our country will host next year, in terms of strengthening regional and global dialogue, promoting social inclusion and protecting the rights of the elderly population.
A.S. Alisjahbana highly appreciated the work done in the field of social and economic development in Azerbaijan, and expressed satisfaction with the continuous cooperation between our country and UNESCAP in this direction.
The meeting discussed the preparatory work for the 82nd session of UNESCAP, and exchanged views on future cooperation opportunities.
