The “VocaFest-2025” festival, implemented by the State Employment Agency (SEA) under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population, has started in Astara.
Organized under the motto “Learn a profession, build your future!”, the festival aims to support young people and students in making informed career choices and taking the right steps in their professional development.
The event was attended by the Head of Astara Executive Authority, Ghazanfar Aghayev, Members of Parliament Rashad Mahmudov and Vasif Gafarov, Chairman of the SEA Board, Sadiq Aliyev, as well as representatives of state and private organizations and members of the public from neighboring districts.
In his speech, S. Aliyev noted that “VocaFest” is an interactive career-oriented project covering 11 economic regions of the country, designed to introduce various professions to youth and adolescents and support them in choosing the right career path.
Members of Parliament R. Mahmudov and V. Qafarov emphasized the special role of “VocaFest” in helping young people build successful careers, gain comprehensive knowledge about modern professions, and develop practical understanding of career opportunities.
Professionals then delivered presentations in line with their fields of expertise, highlighting the features of their professions and sharing valuable advice with festival participants on career choices.
It should be noted that the next “VocaFest” will take place on September 19 in Bilasuvar at Heydar Aliyev Park. The upcoming venues and dates of the festival are as follows:
The festival features awareness-raising activities on 14 professions: cybersecurity, data analytics, helpdesk, 3D animation, jewelry design, tourism organization, carpentry, automotive repair locksmithing, food engineering, confectionery, rescue services, barista skills, dental technology, and veterinary science.
By participating in the festival, attendees gain useful insights into career development opportunities, required skills, and specialization options in these professions, as well as the chance to network with industry experts.
