Another 13 Azerbaijani citizens (6 women and 7 children) brought to Azerbaijan from the Syrian Arab Republic as part of repatriation measures carried out by the Government of Azerbaijan have been placed at a relevant social service institution of the Social Services Agency under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population.
An initial medical examination has been conducted at the institution, and the necessary support measures have also been provided to assess their social and psychological condition.
Work is currently continuing on the social rehabilitation of the repatriants. Following the completion of the rehabilitation stage, the citizens will be sent to their homes.
At the next stage, social workers and psychologists of the Agency will visit their homes, assess their individual circumstances and determine social support measures based on their needs.
It should be noted that, in recent years, more than 630 persons repatriated to Azerbaijan have benefited from social rehabilitation services provided by the Social Services Agency. Social rehabilitation measures are currently being carried out for 85 repatriants.
