More than 30 citizens have already benefited from the “Let Us Be Your Voice” online sign language interpretation service, launched under the Medical-Social Expertise and Rehabilitation Agency of the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population.
This service, which started operating on July 28 of this year for the first time in Azerbaijan, enables individuals with hearing and speech impairments to have their requests communicated to third parties (state institutions, the private sector, etc.).
Thus, it functions as a “virtual bridge” between individuals with hearing impairments and parties who do not know sign language, by ensuring that:
To access the service, citizens can contact the number 055 213 19 97 through WhatsApp or Telegram.
The service is available six days a week (Monday to Saturday), from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, excluding Sundays.
The sign language interpretation service allows individuals with hearing and speech impairments to convey their requests to the relevant parties accurately and conveniently across various fields.
The project aims to support an inclusive environment, eliminate social communication barriers between persons with hearing and speech impairments and other members of society, and ensure the effective exchange of information.
