Among them, 265 individuals have already undergone rehabilitation, regained their previous health, and overcome their disabilities.
In the period following the Patriotic War, which concluded with Azerbaijan’s historic Victory, medical and socio-psychological rehabilitation services have been provided to 3,800 war veterans by the State Medical and Social Expertise and Rehabilitation Agency under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population.
At the Agency’s rehabilitation centres, continuous and targeted efforts have been carried out to realise the rehabilitation potential of the veterans. For this purpose, modern and effective rehabilitation methods have been applied by professional medical teams.
As a result of the measures taken, 265 of the veterans have already been rehabilitated, restored their former state of health, and overcome their disabilities. Rehabilitation services for other veterans are ongoing.
In addition, servicemen who lost their limbs during the war have been provided with high-technology, latest-generation prostheses, including advanced prostheses designed for running. These rehabilitation devices enable persons with war-related disabilities to move freely, actively, and comfortably.
