Measures to cover residents relocated to the liberated territories with active employment programmes continue. So far, employment has been provided for 8,673 individuals, including the establishment of small businesses under the self-employment programme for 754 residents. Additionally, 383 residents have been enrolled in vocational courses organised jointly with employers.
This information was shared during the latest meeting held at the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population with employers operating in the liberated territories.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Science and Education, Ministry of Defence, State Border Service, State Committee for Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons, Social Development Fund for Internally Displaced Persons, Center for Analysis and Communication of Economic Reforms, Azerbaijan Transport and Communication Holding, Medical Territorial Management Union, Mine Action Agency, and State Agency of Azerbaijan Automobile Roads.
Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Protection of the Population, Rashad Mustafayev, noted that under the State Programme on the Great Return, the employment programmes implemented in Karabakh and Eastern Zangazur are gradually expanding. He stated that able-bodied residents relocated to their liberated native homes are covered by these programmes. The Deputy Minister emphasised the importance of active cooperation with employers for the successful implementation of the employment programmes.
The results of the work carried out with employers to ensure the employment of citizens relocated or planned to be relocated to the liberated territories, as well as the upcoming tasks in this area, were discussed.
