Within the framework of the “RehaBus” (Rehabilitation Bus) project of the State Medical-Social Expertise and Rehabilitation Agency under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population, services were provided to 2,200 persons with disabilities.
Launched in 2022, the project aims to increase access of persons with disabilities living in Baku and surrounding areas to outpatient and community-based rehabilitation services.
The project ensures that these persons can reach the relevant rehabilitation facility easily and comfortably. Rehabilitation buses pick up children with disabilities (together with their accompanying relatives) from pre-determined waiting points in Baku, Sumgait, and Absheron and transport them to the No. 2 Child Rehabilitation Center in Baku.
After the rehabilitation procedure is completed, they are transported back to their original locations.
