2,1 thousand people with disabilities were served within the framework of the “RehaBus” (Rehabilitation Bus) project, which was launched by the State Medical-Social Expertise and Rehabilitation Agency under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population in 2022.
The project, which serves to increase the accessibility of outpatient and community-based rehabilitation services for people with disabilities living in Baku and surrounding areas, ensures that these people can easily and conveniently reach the appropriate rehabilitation institution.
Rehabilitation buses pick up children with disabilities (together with their accompanying relatives) from pre-designated waiting points in Baku, Sumgayit and Absheron and deliver them to Children's Rehabilitation Center No. 2 in Baku.
After the rehabilitation procedure is completed, they are returned again.
