Under the “RehaBus” (Rehabilitation Bus) project, the State Medical-Social Expertise and Rehabilitation Agency, subordinate to the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population, has provided services to around 2,500 persons with disabilities.
Launched in Baku in 2022, the project has recently been implemented in Ganja as well. The project ensures easy and convenient access for children with disabilities, who are engaged in outpatient rehabilitation services, to rehabilitation institutions.
Rehabilitation buses transport children with disabilities living in Baku and Sumgait cities and Absheron to the No. 2 Children Rehabilitation Center in the capital. Children living in Ganja are transported to the Children Rehabilitation Center in Shamkir. Relatives accompanying the children are included in this service.
After completing the rehabilitation procedure, the children are returned to their homes.
