Within the framework of the “RehaBus” (Rehabilitation Bus) project of the State Medical-Social Expertise and Rehabilitation Agency under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population, nearly 3 thousand children with disabilities have been provided with services during the reporting period.
The project, launched in Baku in 2022, has been implemented in Ganja since last month. It ensures easy and convenient access for children with disabilities involved in outpatient rehabilitation services to rehabilitation institutions.
Rehabilitation buses transport children with disabilities living in Baku, Sumgait, and the Absheron district to the No. 2 Child Rehabilitation Centre in the capital, while children in Ganja are transported to the Child Rehabilitation Centre in Shamkir.
Family members accompanying the children are also included in this service.
After the rehabilitation procedures are completed, the children are returned to their homes.
