New legislative acts signed by President Ilham Aliyev are aimed at improving the social insurance system based on modern approaches, simplifying procedures in the field of social insurance through innovative solutions, and increasing the efficiency of services.
According to these changes, the registration of insured persons with the insurer will henceforth be carried out only based on the Personal Identification Number (FIN) of the individual’s identity card, and there will no longer be a need for a Social Security Number (SSN).
Previously, when quarterly reports on insured persons (employees) were submitted by insurers (employers), both the SSN and the FIN had to be indicated separately. However, the SSN will no longer be required.
Thus, with the new changes, the registration of insured persons with the insurer will be conducted solely through the FIN, enabling faster and more accurate data exchange in the relevant field. Individuals being recruited will no longer be required to provide a social insurance number, and administrative procedures within the social insurance system will be optimized.
In addition, the efficiency of electronic services related to the social insurance system will further increase, ensuring that processes in this area are carried out in a simpler, more transparent, and more efficient manner.
