Employees of the Social Services Agency under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population held meetings with prisoners in an additional 8 prisons three months before their release from prison.
In the framework of cooperation with the Ministry of Justice, information was provided about the Agency's activities at meetings held in prisons No. 7, 14 and 15 of the Penitentiary Service, Sheki and Gobustan penitentiaries, as well as Baku, 2 and 3 pre-trial detention centers.
In addition, social rehabilitation and adaptation measures for persons released from prison were brought to attention. It was reported that visits were organized to the families of these persons, they were involved in relevant services depending on the results of the assessment conducted with them, and questions of interest to the prisoners were answered.
Information was collected and an assessment was carried out on 175 prisoners in the mentioned prisons three months before the end of their sentences. It is planned that these individuals will be involved in socio-psychological assistance services after their release.
