Staff of the Social Services Agency under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population conducted meetings in four additional penitentiary institutions with inmates who are within three months of completing their sentences.
Within the framework of cooperation with the Ministry of Justice, meetings were held at Penitentiary Institutions No. 1, 2, 5, and 6, during which information was provided about the activities of the Agency.
Participants were briefed on social rehabilitation and reintegration measures for individuals released from incarceration. It was noted that family visits are arranged, and based on the outcomes of individual assessments, appropriate services are provided. Inmates also had the opportunity to ask questions and receive answers regarding the process.
Information was gathered and assessments conducted for 86 inmates whose sentences are due to end within three months. Upon release, these individuals are scheduled to be engaged in social and psychological support services.
