The Social Services Agency under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population held an inclusive socio-cultural event in Sheki.
The event called "A Day Together" was attended by minor residents of an orphanage, elderly people receiving (mobile) social services at home, people with disabilities and other citizens from vulnerable categories.
The event featured an exhibition of children's handicrafts, culinary and craft samples with the joint participation of elderly people and children, live music and dance performances. Joint performances by disabled people, elderly people and children added a special color to the event.
In his speech, the Chairman of the Board of the Social Services Agency, Vugar Behbudov, stated that the event was of great importance in terms of both inclusiveness and solidarity.
Deputy Head of the Sheki City Executive Power, Elman Imamverdiyev, emphasized the role of the event in helping people from vulnerable groups spend their free time effectively and usefully, as well as in their integration into society.
The conversations held around the samovar tea table within the framework of the event, organized at the “Upper Caravanserai” hotel complex located in the “Yukhari Bash” National Historical and Architectural Reserve, were among the most memorable moments of the event. The handicrafts prepared jointly by the elderly and children during the event were met with interest by the guests.
