The next meeting of the Working Group, composed of representatives of the main and other implementing bodies responsible for the measures envisaged in the “Action Plan on the implementation of the State Program on the Development of Social Services in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2023–2026”, was held.
At the online meeting, Head of the Working Group, Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Protection of Population Hidayat Abdullayev highlighted the work carried out within the framework of the “State Program on the Development of Social Services in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2023–2026”, approved by the Order of President Ilham Aliyev dated 28 August 2023.
In line with the Program, steps taken in recent years to develop the social services system in the country, increase the quantity and quality of these services, and expand their coverage were discussed. Increasing access to social services for vulnerable groups, preventing children from being placed in state child institutions, and reintegration measures were also emphasized.
It was noted that a systematic approach, effective cooperation among relevant state bodies, and coordinated management of activities play an important role in the successful implementation of the State Program. The meeting discussed the implementation of the State Program on the development of social services, the results of joint activities, and upcoming tasks.
It should be noted that the Working Group was established by the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers dated 25 September 2023, and includes representatives from the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population, the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, the Ministry of Science and Education, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs, the State Agency for Mandatory Health Insurance, the Audiovisual Council, the Media Development Agency, the Mediation Council, the Confederation of Trade Unions, the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations, the Management Union of Medical Territorial Units, the Baku City Executive Authority, and local city (district) executive authorities.
