Pensions for citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as for foreigners and stateless persons who permanently reside in the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan, are assigned and paid on an equal basis with citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On Labour Pensions.”
A labour pension is a monthly cash payment determined under the rules and conditions established by the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On Labour Pensions” and intended to compensate citizens for the wages and other income they received before being granted a labour pension, or, in the event of the insured person’s death, to compensate their family members for the loss of income.
According to the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 3 February 2025 “On Amendments to the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan ‘On Labour Pensions,’” the minimum amount of the labour pension has been set at 320 manats as of 1 February 2025.
In accordance with the Law, the following types of labour pensions are established:
Under the laws of the Republic of Azerbaijan, individuals entitled to different types of pensions are granted only one pension of their choice.
